PACC (2009-2011): Reducing fuel consumption

PACC aims at reducing fuel consumption and thus CO2 emissions in the framework of public transportation (coaches, shuttle buses, etc.).

PACC system compares actual driving profiles to ideal ones to indicate to drivers in real-time their fuel consumption level. Then, drivers can adapt their way of driving instantaneously.

In order to acquire actual driving profiles, the onboard system collects data from vehicles (geo localization by satellites, speed, position of vehicle clutch, etc.)

2MoRO is in charge of the back office that collects data from the onboard system and defines new ideal driving profiles thanks to innovative algorithms. Moreover, the back office enables statistics on the fleet and with proper data mining it is possible to deduce that abnormal fuel consumption is more due to technical/maintenance problems on the vehicle than the way of driving.

The project is co-financed by regional authorities. PACC gathers 4 partners and is coordinated by two companies among which 2MoRO Solutions.
