The customer is the world leader in the design, development, manufacturing and support of landing gear systems. This OEM landing gear is in service on more than 20,500 aircraft. The company supplies 33 airframe manufacturers and supports 3,000 operators of large commercial aircraft, regional and business aircraft, military aircraft and helicopters.
Theis customer has launched the project, which includes the following activities:
- Reengineer and harmonize business processes throughout this company, and specifically in 8 sites around the world
- Prepare the implementation of an ERP platform common for 3,000 ERP users, which will cover all the company's activities, and replace all legacy/bespoke systems
- Ensure this implementation is as effective and rapid as possible by verifying beforehand that new business processes are in line with the ERP’s standard capabilities
- Lead the roll-out of 6 Sigma and Lean principles across the organization
2MoRO collaborated with a major integrator during the Business Process Re-engineering phase (BPR) and then led the SAP ECC6 expertise from August 2009 to December 2009.
During 5 months of workshops with all this OEM sites representatives and Lean manufacturing experts, 2MoRO consultants ensured the SAP expertise for all the customer's activities.

The material planning scenario starts with the sales and operations planning process (S&OP). S&OP takes into account the demand for the product in the short-term and long-term. Forecast are also transferred and consumed via Demand Management.
Standard MRP methods are used to manage the supply-demand situation for all levels in the product structure and to route the supply needs to procurement/manufacturing as defined in the master data.
Production orders and pick lists will be created to accomplish execution on the shop floor.
This process concerns the management of the product data used for manufacturing and quality assurance.
The product structure includes master data elements for establishing and managing the process templates:
- Routings
- Tooling
- Quality plans
- Documentation
External sourcing starts early in the process in A&D industries due to long lead-time and high-value items.
The following object of process was treated:
- RFQ
- Contracts/Scheduling Agreements
- Purchase Requisitions
- Purchase orders
- Release strategy
In addition, we managed VMI process and collaboration Tool with suppliers.
This process concerns the sales orders creation for the final Customers (OE and spares parts). Variant configuration features are handled in order to deal with options & effectivities.
